RPH Medical Research Foundation
For more than 40 years, RPH Research Foundation has been improving the quality of healthcare in Western Australia by funding groundbreaking medical research and innovative ideas led by local researchers at Royal Perth Hospital, and other East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) sites. Royal Perth Hospital has a longstanding reputation for providing excellent educational opportunities and enhancing patient outcomes, making it a beacon for great researchers.
The RPH Research Foundation was established with the aim of fostering extraordinary thinking and delivering exceptional outcomes. In the past, the Foundation supported Professor Fiona Wood AM in her world-leading burns research that helped save the lives of victims of the Bali bombings in 2002 and led to the development of spray-on-skin.
The Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit organisation closely associated with Royal Perth Hospital and EMHS that works collaboratively with researchers, medical professionals, universities, and other research institutes to support the key role of research in tertiary hospitals and help achieve the best outcomes for patients.
