General Research Education and Training

CAHS Research Education Program – Research Skills Seminar Series

The CAHS Research Education Program offers over 25 seminars annually, covering various topics to inform and support researchers throughout the research process. Seminars are presented live at the Perth Childrens Hospital auditorium, live streamed via MS teams, and recorded for viewing at your convenience.

Western Australian Health Translation Network

The Western Australian Health Translation Network (WAHTN) is a state-wide collaborative network of WA’s universities, medical research institutes, public and private hospitals, PathWest and the WA Department of Health. WAHTN connects clinicians, researchers, and the community with key stakeholders to support rapid translation of health research into healthcare, aiming to create a sustainable, evidence-based system.

Research Education and Training Program (RETP), provided by WAHTN

The RETP aims to provide busy health practitioners with open access to comprehensive research skills training across the entire research process. If you are based in WA and employed by WA Health, or at a WAHTN partner organisation, the online training modules are free of charge and can be accessed at a time suitable for you.

Clinical Trial Specific Education and Training

A-CTEC Education Platform

A-CTEC is a not-for-profit Australia-wide education centre with a dedicated Learning Management System (LMS) hosting a suite of evidence-based, interactive clinical trials education opportunities suitable for a range of learning need. They are constantly adding new modules that have a very practical hands-on approach to training staff involved in all aspects of clinical trial services.

NHMRC Clinical Trials eLearning

These modules written by the NHMRC provide an introduction to clinical trials, clinical research ethics and ethics and governance review processes.

Good Clinical Practice (GCP)

Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is an international ethical and scientific quality standard for designing, conducting, recording and reporting clinical trials. It is mandatory for staff with key roles in industry-sponsored clinical trials – i.e., Principal Investigators and Trial Coordinators.

EMHS Introduction to Consumer Engagement Webinar
