Chosen from this year’s quarterly award winners, Ewing’s recognition highlights the meaningful and sustained impact he makes across Rehabilitation and Sub-acute Medicine.
His dedication to patient care and team support was evident through five separate nominations from colleagues - a testament to the respect and appreciation he has earned among his peers.
Ewing - who was presented with the award on Tuesday night - was widely recognised for his collaborative approach, strong focus on medication safety, and proactive support of both patients and staff.
From improving discharge planning processes to providing expert clinical guidance for complex renal patients, his work consistently strengthens patient outcomes while empowering multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality care.
The annual Values in Action Award honours individuals who genuinely embody our values of Excellence, Respect, Kindness, Collaboration, Accountability and Integrity.
Through his daily actions, Ewing exemplifies what it means to live these values and contribute positively to our health service and community.
At Tuesday's award ceremony, four other quarterly award recipients - Shannon Scari, Chris Renton, Sean Foo, and Don Bamunuge - were also recognised for an outstanding 2025.
Their leadership, innovation and operational excellence continue to enhance services across EMHS and make a lasting difference to the communities we serve.
